Let’s Talk About It: Owning More Than One Copy of a Book

I’m somehow still surprised when someone expresses a thought that’s almost my exact sentiments. The tweet below came across my Facebook feed via a Facebook Group I’m a member of, and I immediately had to ‘love’ and share.

I wholeheartedly agree with the recommendation behind the tweet, and I subscribe to this thought for beloved books AND those that could be beloved. Hear me out, as I haven’t done it often, but it’s funny that I’ve done it enough for it to be a thing. 4 copies is a lot, but I do have 2 or more copies of a couple of books. What’s worse is that I still haven’t read some of them (looks down in shame with a shy smile). Follow me, as I tell on myself, and list the books I own multiple copies of. I won’t bore you with details as to why I have so many. That’s of no importance.

To make a long story short, I had an intuition that these books would be favorites of mine, so I bought many. That was when I had money to spend on books (lol). And if not that, then I most likely bought it because it was on sale or FREE.99.

What are some books that you have multiple copies of? Do you have multiple copies for the same reasons outlined in the tweet? Let me know in the comments below. I’m curious to see the most mentioned novels or series.
